Castle Lite Presents The Lite Star Showdown

Castle Lite has unlocked the Lite Star Showdown which pits Carpo against Unathi Mkhize. 

On the 26th of September, the two teams captained by Carpo and Unathi Mkhize gave their all to win the highly coveted title, but there could only be one winner.

The Cold Court Crushers

For this celebrity showdown, Carpo’s selection of draft picks featured Cassper Nyovest, Anele Papu, Themba Robin and Lual Wadang Nyuat. This selection may have placed his team as the underdogs for the showdown, however Carpo would later settle everything on the pitch. 

The Lite Knights

After a series of polls, Unathi Mkhize’s Lite Knights were regarded as the favourites to win the showdown and this comes as no surprise as Unathi’s team featured the likes of Tyler ICU, Tebogo Mahange, Juicy Jay and Lebesa Selepe. 

The Showdown

Castle Lite set the stage for an unforgettable and entertaining showdown which was further ignited by a stellar performance by Murda Bongz. Catch the event’s highlight reel below. 

With Mpho Popps and Quinton Dennesyn delivering stellar commentary and play-by-play analyses, the epic showdown between the Lite Knights and the Cold Court Crushers was well underway. 

The Lite Knights dominated the early stages of the game with Lebesa Selepe flaunting his expertise and finesse as a distinguished pro-basketballer, however Carpo’s Cold Court Crushers were not silenced for much longer as Cassper Nyovest took matters into his own hand to deliver numerous valuable points. Anele Papu’s series of vital assists turned the tide in favour of the Cold Court Crushers.

The final score was 35-27 as Carpo’s Cold Court Crushers clinched victory in the inaugural Lite Star Showdown.
