As one of South Africa’s fastest-rising stars, Stixx has continually produced highly acclaimed releases and his latest offering is no different.
“Vum Vum” was initially released by Brown Dash in 2004 and it featured M’Du and Brickz who were also pivotal figures for the Kwaito genre.
Two decades later, Stixx honours the legacy created by the Kwaito legends by giving the single a modern retouch. The hitmaker enlisted the talents of M’Du to retain the authenticity of the single by featuring an artist who contributed significantly to the original release.
With this release, the hitmaker proves that he is eager to pay homage to those who paved the way and will someday deservedly take a place among South Africa’s greatest acts.
